After deciding on a style that I liked best I created these two mock ups to compare the options that are available as I wasn't sure which way I preferred. After putting the two side to side I found that I liked the pattern on the outside more as it is more eye-catching and the typography also fits better in the horizontal composition. This wouldn't be possible in the other example as having the type n that space on the print would be illegible.
